As we continue to expand across the UK, Europe, US, Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia-Pacific, we are hiring a Senior Learning Designer to play a critical role in shaping our next generation of enterprise learning solutions.
About the Role
This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term position for an experienced Learning Designer who thrives in fast-paced, high-performance environments and has deep expertise in AI tools and AI-enabled learning design.
You will design cutting-edge, gamified and AI learning interventions for enterprise clients, lead and quality-assure a network of freelancers, and ensure flawless delivery across digital, blended and live programmes.
This role requires strong commercial awareness, creative innovation, operational precision and speed of delivery.
You will report directly to the Head of Product and work closely with client teams, programme managers and subject matter experts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Enterprise Learning Design & Innovation
Design high-impact, gamified learning experiences for large enterprise clients
Architect end-to-end learning journeys across e-learning, webinars, live workshops and toolkits
Build AI learning solutions leveraging tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Google Gemini
Translate complex AI and digital concepts into accessible, engaging learning experiences
Embed behavioural science, adult learning principles and measurable business outcomes into all designs
Ensure strong narrative flow, storytelling and interactivity across learning products
Design scenario-based, simulation-led and immersive learning interventions
2. AI-Driven Design Excellence
Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in Microsoft M365 Copilot and Google Gemini
Integrate AI meaningfully into learning design workflows and client-facing solutions
Design programmes that build AI fluency, responsible AI usage and human-in-the-loop practices
Stay ahead of emerging AI tools and trends, continuously experimenting and innovating
Guide internal teams on effective and ethical use of AI in content production
3. Quality Assurance & Team Leadership
Operate and manage a distributed team of freelance learning designers, copywriters and multimedia specialists
Review, QA and refine all learning deliverables to ensure excellence, accuracy and brand alignment
Provide structured feedback and mentorship to freelancers
Ensure consistency across visual design, tone of voice, instructional integrity and client expectations
Maintain high production standards at pace without compromising quality
4. Stakeholder & Client Collaboration
Lead needs analysis sessions with enterprise stakeholders
Translate business objectives into measurable learning outcomes
Present design concepts confidently to senior client stakeholders
Collaborate with SMEs to extract and structure expertise into engaging formats
Support Train-the-Trainer (TTT) processes where required
5. Operational & Commercial Excellence
Own timelines and ensure deliverables are produced on schedule
Scope learning design effort accurately and support costing conversations
Contribute to RFP and proposal development
Monitor impact metrics and align learning outcomes to business KPIs
Continuously improve internal design frameworks and templates
Essential Skills & Experience
5+ years experience as a Senior Learning Designer or Instructional Designer in a corporate or agency environment
Proven experience designing enterprise-scale, multi-modal learning programmes
Demonstrated experience creating gamified, scenario-based and simulation-led learning
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Copilot and Google Gemini
Strong understanding of responsible AI use and AI literacy frameworks
Advanced proficiency in Articulate Rise and Storyline
Experience with Synthesia or AI-based video tools
Strong visual design sensibility and ability to guide brand alignment
Experience managing freelancers or creative teams
Exceptional written communication and storytelling skills
Strong QA and detail orientation
Desirable Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning Technology, Education or related field
Certification in instructional design, learning experience design or digital learning
Coaching or facilitation qualification
Familiarity with enterprise tools such as M365 ecosystem, LMS/LXP platforms and analytics dashboards
Experience designing AI fluency or digital transformation programmes
